Our Teachers

Every teacher at our schools are qualified and shares the Montessori Educational Philosophy. Each teacher is a skilled professional chosen for the special gifts they bring to this important work. An intuitive love and understanding of children is on the highest list of prerequisites.

Rhonda Ward

Rhonda Ward has been teaching at Aberdeen Hills Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten for more than 10 years. She graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at UCC in 1999 with honours. She has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education as a preschool teacher and as the Children’s Program Coordinator for Parents Anonymous for the Kamloops Family Resource Society. In March 2008, Rhonda completed her Montessori Foundations course at the Western Montessori Teacher College in Port Coquitlam, BC. Rhonda is a mother to two beautiful daughters.

Jessica Edwards

Jessica Edwards is on her third year of being a fully qualified Early Childhood Educator. She had many years of experience with children as I had cared for children within my home before attending school at Sprott Shaw College.

She has always had a passion for preschool as the children is at an exciting age, full of curiosity and adventure. She is very excited for this new chapter in her life with Montessori preschool. She knew the moment she stepped foot in the classroom it was where she needed to be. 

Jessica moved to Kamloops 6 years ago with her husband and four beautiful children. As a family they are enjoying all that Kamloops has to offer from indoor activities to all the beautiful hiking trails.

Danika Nelson

Miss Danika is an enthusiastic and caring individual who looks forward to meeting and working with your children. Miss Danika obtained her Early Childhood Educator Diploma in 2014 from TRU and joined us in March 2016. She is excited to be a part in your child’s education.

Lori Griffiths

Lori has been working with us ever since 2016 as an Early Childhood Educator assistant and is finishing her full ECE program this summer from . She has worked extensively with children with language based learning difficulties. Lori is a passionate and motivated teacher, dedicated to inspiring a love of learning in children.

Marcia Fisher

Miss Marcia joined Sahali Montessori Preschool October, 2021.

After 25 years teaching elementary and high school in Brazil as a language teacher, she came to Canada in 2016 and have been enjoying teaching Preschool since 2019. She is the mother of three children who also attended preschool and are now very successful in their careers. She has many hobbies but her most favourites are horseback riding, canoeing and hiking. 

 

She is passionate about the early years of education as she knows how important it is for young children to have positive learning experiences that will help them establish a good base for their continued development. 

 

Her goal as an early childhood educator is to facilitate learning through providing an environment full of positive opportunities for children to enhance their various abilities and skills.
